VW’s own pavilion is the most modest one of Autostadt

The Volkswagen’s own brand pavilion is located at the heart of the Autostadt compound, in a modern housing.

The modest exterior hides a firework of technology inside the building. There are also a few cars from the brand that should be the alpha and omega of the site.

Instead, the hall features only a few cars, in my case in 2018, there were two VW Golfs, along with a demo of future technologies.

According to the website, the VW Pavilion is now hosting the newly inaugurated ID sub-brand, so it might be worth another visit.

Now you might be wondering if there are any Volkswagen models in the largest automotive theme park of the world. There are quite a few impressive pavilions on the compound, not to mention Zeithaus that could easily make it in the world’s top 10 car museums.

Given that the Parkhaus Towers are not reserved to VW cars exclusively, and VW Commercials are hardly a substitute.

Well, there is a grand showroom for the VW brand, near the Parkhaus, with the size worthy for the Autostadt compound itself. As far as the styling is concerned, you won’t hear many jaws dropping on the floor.

This pavilion is not match for the multi-floor flagship showroom of Mercedes with their luxury GTs and AMG corner, but it is worth checking out.
