Autoworld honours Abarth and Fiat with a double exhibition.

This summer, Autoworld is going all-in on Italian cars by honouring Abarth’s 75th anniversary and Fiat’s 125th anniversary.

The ground floor welcomed 15 Abarth cars with the help of the Abarth Works Museum, surrounded by stylish decorations and miniatures.

The Museum is our secret tip for petrolheads visiting Belgium, but the Museum’s building is in the middle of a makeover. The makeover did not prevent them from organising special exhibitions in the temporary pop-up museum.

Thanks to the contribution of the Museum’s owner, Guy Moernhout, this segment goes well beyond the Fiat brand, showcasing several other brands that were enhanced by Carlo Abarth, such as Simca, Autobianchi, and Porsche.

Of course, you can expect the high standards of Autoworld with small-scale models and posters, which I hope we will find again in the upcoming new building of the Abarth Works Museum.

The upper floor is dedicated exclusively to the Fiat brand, honouring the Dolce Vita feeling with an exquisite selection of classic Fiat cars.

With this Fiat 125 Years of La Dolce Vita exhibition, Autoworld brought together some 30 important milestones and memorable cars in authentic Italian style.

The exhibition features iconic mainstream models like the Topolino and Cinquecento but also impressive high-end models (as rare as they may be…) like the masterful Otto Vu and 2300 S. In the following article, we will revisit our personal favourites.

The curators paid particular attention to the scenography, ensuring that visitors are fully immersed in an Italian atmosphere of piazzas, pavement cafes, and ‘la dolce vita’.

Of course, this is in addition to the usual treats, like small-scale models. A dedicated Instagram corner was also made available to capture these memorable moments.

The exhibition was inaugurated this Wednesday, and you may catch up with it until the beginning of September.
