Autoworld lines up automotive masterpieces for its Art Car exhibition

Autoworld showcases an exclusive selection of the finest, most artistic icons that have marked automotive design. Between September 6th and December 15th, the cars occupy the ground floor exhibition area, and the organisers created a neutral but elegant frame with dark veils surrounding the stage.

The roster is beyond promising, from a Bugatti 35 ‘Art Car’ via the Cisitalia 202 exhibited at New York’s MoMa, past the voluptuous Lamborghini Miura, the indispensable Gullwing (both often credited as the first supercar), the iconic E-type, the Art Deco masterpiece Delage D8, the sophisticated Citroën DS to the Bauhaus Audi TT (the latter went AWOL) each are rolling cornerstones of car design.

Many of these cars are familiar from previous exhibitions, like the Pegaso Thrill from Autoworld’s Pegaso exhibition, the Bugatti 35 from this year’s Retromobile or the blue Ferrari 250 SWB from the 2021 Antwerp Concours. We also recall the brilliant PS I Love You exhibition from Düsseldorf that aimed to showcase design milestones and featured most of these cars.

If you wish to catch it, there is plenty of time, but if you are not from around, we advise you to combine it with one of the upcoming car shows, as Belgium is hosting half a dozen major car events during the remainder of the year (notably, Antwerp Concours, InterClassics Brussels, Zoute Grand Prix).
