Our visit to Flanders Collection Cars Ghent 2026

This Friday, we attended Flanders Collection Cars Ghent 2026, a regional new spinoff of the Flanders Collection Cars we visited in 2024. That event replaced the prestigious Antwerp Classic, a spinoff event of the German Techno Classica.

This event in Ghent is organised a month before the Antwerp edition, and features a different main theme. The cars occupied two and a half halls in the expo area, conveniently located at the city’s outskirts. This is not a lot, compared to the heavies in Paris or Essen, but it is surely enough to spend a couple of lovely hours around interesting cars. If you are not from the area, the trip is also a good excuse to pair it with a visit to Ghent’s historical centre. We encountered several specialist vendors, from scale models to spare parts. The largest part of the three exhibition halls is closer to the second-hand car market for classic cars, but two halls also feature a dedicated thematic stage. The first hall honours the British brand Bristol with a selection of race cars.

The next hall hosted the show’s official theme: a stage featuring hot hatches and a selection of angry little powerballs from the 80s and 90s. From time-conforming Golf GTI and Renault 5 Turbo to Focus WRC, the selection features cars from several decades.

The third hall is filled with parts, memorabilia, and a few cars, and a special third stage with classic roadsters.
