InterClassics Maastricht celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2025

This week, the classic car world of the BeNeLux region gathered in Maastricht to bring together the region’s largest classic car show. InterClassics celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, and the organisers brought together the best cars from their past events.

The InterClassics brand dates back to 1994 and has evolved considerably throughout the years into a very comprehensive exhibition and trade show, with a spin-off event in Brussels and occasional open-air substitutes during COVID. We attended the 2016, 2019 and 2022 events.

The special theme of 2025 is the 30 years of InterClassics

In 2025, InterClassics Maastricht celebrates its 30th anniversary, and the organisers dedicated their main attraction to the theme with a well-prepared selection process.

To mark this occasion, the organisers invited the website visitors and mailing list members to cast their votes in two voting events. Attendees could choose from over 100 exclusive classic cars and supercars covering the 30 years.

The Ferrari 250 SWB emerged as the public’s favourite and the new poster car of InterClassics Maastricht 2025. This was announced in a spectacular manner by the mayor at the Vrijthof in Maastricht.

The organisers managed to secure the participation of new and classic car dealers showcasing a few modern luxury cars. The absolute highlight was the Koenigsegg Jesko parked right next to the 30th-anniversary stage.

A clear recognition of InterClassics’ prominence (and early date) is the participation of several later events with a stage showcasing one or more featured cars. We spotted the stages of the Belgian Zoute Grand Prix (announcing their dates for the main event), as well as the German Classic Days. Also, Auto Moto d’Epoca from Bologna arrived with a full stage, along with other events.

This year’s InterClassics occupied about the same exhibitor area as the editions before COVID. As the stages were crowded with cars, there was plenty of stuff to see. And quite a selection too: from modern supercars to timeless classics and affordable youngtimers to pre-war legends, the show offered something for all.

The professional jury has selected the most beautiful and original cars on the Maastricht exhibition floor. We will go through the category winners in a later article, but we can already tell you that the car of the show is this brown Tatra T87. Its streamlined design and unique technology can be admired at the stand of An Mark Classics.

The Sim Expo is a perfect complement to a classic car event.

As in earlier years, the external section of the exhibition complex offers a unique programme for the younger generations, the Sim Racing Expo. This is a brilliant innovation, as classic car shows are a strictly for-your-eyes-only event, and this is where it might get pretty frustrating for the youngest generation.

At the Sim Expo, your younglings can see the latest tech and actually try some of the set-ups created by simulator developers.
