Newsflash: what to expect from the 2023 Techno Classica?

The 2023 Essen Techno Classica is set to happen their press service just published its plans for this year’s show. Techno-Classica will open its doors in Essen for the 33rd time from 12 to 16 April 2023.

Organiser S.I.H.A. is anticipating around 1,250 exhibitors from more than 30 countries. Manufacturers, dealers and clubs will contribute more than 2700 collectors’ automobiles. The show makes again use of the entire Essen Expo area.

Several significant anniversaries will be celebrated in 2023:

100 years of MG

75 years of Porsche

75 years of Citroën 2CV – the Duck

70 years of Corvette

60 years of Mercedes-Benz 600

60 years of Mercedes-Benz 230 SL Pagoda

60 years of Lamborghini (S.I.H.A. special exhibition)

50 years of BMW 2002 turbo

50 years of Volkswagen

The press release highlighted the return of Volkswagen’s Autostadt, enlisting Audi, Škoda, Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Volkswagen Classic Parts on a stand measuring around 1400 square metres.

Porsche and Ferrari will also be represented. Mercedes-Benz Classic has announced some exceptional exhibits.

The show promises more than 200 clubs, including brand clubs dedicated to BMW and Fiat, Ford and Opel, and Japanese manufacturers. The organisers also announced a new edition of the Citroën Road.

The opening times of this year’s Techno Classica will be as follows:

The preview/ happy view day will be held on Wednesday, 12. April 2023, from 13.00 to 20.00

The regular visitor days last from Thursday, 13. April 2023, to Sunday, 16. April 2023, from 9.00 to 18.00, and on Friday to 19.00.
