The Prado Zoute is an unlimited treasure chest of high-end supercars

After finishing the first half of the Prado hall, the other half continues with a British premium brand: Land Rover showcased a massive Range Rover Sport, and a some Jaguars were showcased on the beach (more on that later).

Next to the Range Rover, a small podium was reserved for a Dallara Stradale in a naked carbon design.

This part of the hall accommodated more prominent stages, and Ferrari really showed that it feels on home turf at Prado Zoute.

Their stage featured a grey and a red 296GTB, the V12 Roma and a LaFerrari. Ferrari’s last road-legal hypercar is no longer in production, but when it comes to the Italian stallion, almost all of them become instant classics. LaFerraris scored over 2 million Euros at auctions these days

The next stage was built for two iconic British brands. Every McLaren car is fully capable of stealing the show, but at Zoute, you might need a little extra 😊 .

McLaren knew this and brought along some extra firecrackers with an Art Car set on a separate podium.

For this car, McLaren collaborated with British artist Nat Bowen. Her art is centred around chromology (the psychology of colour), and the vehicle is influenced by the colour field movement.

McLaren chose its latest model with a fitting name for this piece of Art. The Artura is a hybrid sports car introduced this year. The Artura is McLaren’s first car with a V6 engine and seems quite future-proof with its plugin hybrid drivetrain.

The stage also hosted a pair of Rolls Royce limousines. The black Phantom and the blue Ghost.

The Porsche stage was all about the 911, with an iconic Carrera RS to celebrate the model’s 50th anniversary.

Behind the Porsche stage, two Lambos were awaiting visitors.

The last car near the exit was a Touring Superleggera Aero 3, based on the Ferrari F12berlinetta, with aerodynamics recalling the 1938 Alfa Romeo 2900 Le Mans.

Also worth noting is the lovely walk on the beach between the Prado HQ and the Bonhams auction tent. Most of the exhibiting premium brands planted their favourite models on podiums. These selected favourites gave quite an impression on the sidewalk passing by the Bugatti Pavilion.

Bugatti came with an entire pavilion, resulting in a more robust presence than in Paris or Frankfurt. Any modern Bugatti is a show on its own, so the Veyron and the Chiron parked next to the building was quite a spectacle.

But they are no match for the lion lucked into the Pavilion. The Bugatti Mistral might be mistaken for a roadster version of a Chiron, but it’s much more. The W16 mid-engine two-seater supercar is marketed as the fastest roadster in the world, and deliveries are scheduled to start in 2024. All 99 cars were pre-sold for a whopping price of 5 million euros.

So that was Prado Zoute 2022, probably the most colourful new car show of the year, featuring more car brands than the Paris Car Show. For an event whose strengths are classic cars, it was quite impressive, making it a stable point on our 2023 agenda.
