After a week of digesting our 5,000 photo shots, it is time to conclude our Spa Classic 2024 report with a 300-picture mega gallery.

Most classic car races are based on Peter Auto’s iconic classic car circus, with probably the best fleet in the world. We attended the Saturday races and already covered the 911 2.0L cup and Group C, and below, you will find the rest of the afternoon.

The Gentlemen Challenge

The Gentlemen Challenge is Peter Auto’s ethical racing series, bringing together endurance legends, iconic GTs, and prototypes from the 50s and early 60s, such as the Maserati 300S, Ferrari 250 GT SWB (in fact, several of them), Lister Jaguar, Lotus Elite, and Porsche 550.

These cars include some of the most exclusive and expensive cars, so their track presence is already a miracle. Thus, respect and fair play are the key principles for these gentlemen drivers, as this grid is one of the rare occasions to see back on track.

Classic Endurance Racing 1

The Classic Endurance Racing 1 series invokes the World Endurance Championship of the 60s. This decade saw the legendary Ford GT40s take on the Ferrari 330 P4, then the Porsche 917s against the Ferrari 512.

This series focuses on the era of Sports Prototypes from 1966 to 1971, covering more than half of the starting grids with cars in various shapes and forms. In GT class, the battles intensified between the Porsche 911 RSR and the various Ferrari Daytona Gr. IV and Chevrolet Corvette C3 at the turn of the 70s.

With grids regularly reaching 50 cars, the CER 1 is a main course of Spa Classic.

The Sixties’ Endurance

The Sixties’ Endurance covers pre-63 Sports and pre-66 GTs, offering an occasion to admire all icons of the world championship at the time.

On Saturday, these cars were entered in a two-hour race, bringing together a wide range of vehicles (several Jaguar E-Types, Ferrari 250 GTs, and Porsche 911s) from 1950 to 1965.

The two-hour race started around dusk and offered a great night spectacle, recalling the most challenging night laps of endurance racing.
