2. The 1977 White Lotus Espirit S1 from the Spy who loved me
This car is one of the coolest movie cars ever and could have been first, but another car is more iconic as 007’s ride.
The Lotus Esprit was the backbone of the British sports car manufacturer between 1976 and 2004. It was among the first of legendary star designer Giugiaro’s polygonal designs. Its role as a hero car in the movie made the Espirit one of the most iconic cars of the ’80s.
The car showed some impressive capabilities way beyond its predecessors. Bond’s white Espirit transformed into Wet Nellie, an attack submarine equipped with anti-aircraft missiles.
Honestly, this car should have finished on top of our list, but the next vehicle is simply much more associated with the character of James Bond.
