Best of Walter De Silva nr 6: Audi Quattro Concept (2010)

You might be wondering why this car is featured on the top 10 list of Walter De Silva… This car is actually attributed to Wolfgang Egger, but the corporate design was still under De Silva’s direction. The Quattro Concept was one of my favourite concepts from a period that did not see a lot of originality.

The Audi Quattro concept was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 2010 to commemorates the 30th anniversary of the original Audi Quattro and the Audi Quattro four-wheel-drive system (by the way, there was some celebration last year too..).

The concept was based on the series production Audi RS5, with a modified 2.5L five-cylinder TFSI engine and the sixth generation of Quattro drivetrain. News reports spoke of plans to put it into production, but back then, the brand had a long list of two-door cars.
